以下のエラーが出た。
The document "Example.xib" could not be opened. The operation couldn’t be completed. Two members of the document have the object ID 50. This may have happened through an external edit, such as an SCM merge operation.
エラーメッセージの通り、XIBファイル内のconnectionIDに重複があることが原因だった。IDをユニークにすると直った。
